What is EmSculpt?
Launched in 2018, EmSculpt is the world’s first and only body contouring device to use HIFEM (high intensity-focused electromagnetic energy) to build muscle and sculpt the body in a 30-minute session.
It is the first FDA-cleared energy device approved to burn fat and build muscle mass. A single EmSculpt session induces 20,000 muscle contractions. Similarities between EmSculpt and EmSculpt NEO
Both EmSculpt and EmSculpt NEO build muscle and reduce fat. They both use patented and high energy to cause muscles to contract at a frequency and intensity that is not possible to achieve through exercise alone.
These contractions stimulate not only existing muscle fibers but also cause new muscle fibers to grow, which results in greater muscle volume, greater strength, and increased muscle tone.
So, how is Emscupt NEO different?
EmSculpt NEO is better than its predecessor because it uses synchronized radiofrequency heating of fat and muscle. This increases the activation of proteins, stimulating muscle synthesis and enhancing the hypertrophic effect.
EmSculpt NEO builds more muscle
EmSculpt NEO builds muscle and reduces fat better than EmSculpt. All the seven studies that have been conducted on EmSculpt NEO showed a remarkable increase in muscle and decrease of fat. On average, the participants of the study had a 25% increase in muscle and 30% reduction in fat in just one month after the treatments! EmSculpt NEO Uses HIFEM at a different contraction pattern
Emsulpt NEO uses HIFEM energy at a higher rate and a different contraction pattern than the original EmSculpt device. While the EmSculpt contractions follow a defined and predictable protocol, the NEO pattern is irregular, which tricks the muscle into higher intensity and makes it difficult for the patient to expect what kind of contraction comes next. In addition, EmSculpt NEO is FDA-approved to treat arms (biceps and triceps), the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

The radiofrequency technology on EmSculpt NEO has the highest thermal effect on the market, heating the underlying muscle tissue up to 43 degrees in just a few minutes.
